Project Overview
Haïti Numérique 2030 ("Digital Haiti 2030") is a program of the Haitian Caribbean Information Technology Council (HACARABTECH). Its goal is for information and communication technology to become one of the main drivers of Haiti's economy by 2030. The program holds an annual conference; the edition presented on the site took place on December 8 and 9, 2016 in Cap-Haïtien.
The Challenge
The organizers needed one place to explain the program's vision and strategic priorities, publish the conference agenda, present the speakers and sponsors, and let people register. The audience included business leaders, public officials, universities and international partners, so the site is in French, the language the conference was held in.
The Solution
We built the conference website with these sections:
- About: the 2030 vision and its strategic priorities, such as a regulatory framework for a fully digital Haiti and the impact of technology on competitiveness and jobs.
- Agenda: the program by time slot, with a downloadable PDF.
- Speakers: profiles of the speakers, who included representatives of IBM, the United Nations in Haiti, ISTEAH, ESIH and Haitian business and government.
- Registration, Sponsors and Contact: a sign-up page for attendees, the event's sponsors and the organizers' contact details.
