L'Expérience Exquise

Project Overview

L'Expérience Exquise is a business in Laval, Québec, that makes custom cakes, sweet tables and Haitian desserts, and offers catering and event services for birthdays, weddings, baptisms and other celebrations. The website presents their three services (cake design, catering and events), their products and a gallery of their work, in Québec French for their local customers.

The Challenge

The business takes orders by conversation, not through a shopping cart: every cake is made to measure. The site needed to show the work at its best, make it easy to ask for a quote or order from any page, and stay simple for the owner to keep up to date. It also had to be found on Google by people looking for cakes and caterers in Laval.

The Solution

• Orders by WhatsApp or text: there is no email and no backend. Every form (contact, orders, quotes) writes a message in French and opens the visitor's WhatsApp or texting app with it, ready to send. Product buttons include the product name and page link, and a WhatsApp button is available on every page.
• The owner's own photos: the gallery shows 35 of the business's creations, filterable by service and viewable full screen. Only the owner's photos are used, no stock or AI images. A script resizes them, removes location data and creates the share image for each page.
• Built to be found: every page has its own title, description, canonical address and share image, plus a sitemap and business structured data for search engines.
• Light and dark themes, with a theme switch in the header.
